Data processed when you browse the website

The web infrastructure may process technical information required to deliver and protect the service, including the IP address, date and time, requested resource, HTTP status, browser or user-agent information and, where transmitted by the browser, the referring page.

These data are used to provide the website, diagnose technical problems, protect the infrastructure, detect abuse and investigate security incidents. The legal basis is NERANIS’s legitimate interest in operating and securing its public website.

Contact enquiries

If the contact form is enabled, it asks for your name, email address, organisation (optional) and message. The message is sent to the NERANIS contact mailbox and is not stored as a contact record in the WordPress database by the NERANIS Companion plugin.

The form uses short-lived anti-abuse counters derived from the submitting IP address and email address. These counters are pseudonymised and expire after 15 minutes. No CAPTCHA or advertising tracker is added by the NERANIS Companion plugin.

We process an enquiry to answer your request, assess a potential business relationship, prepare pre-contractual measures when you ask us to do so, and maintain appropriate records of our exchanges. Depending on the request, the legal basis is pre-contractual steps, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or NERANIS’s legitimate interest in responding to professional enquiries and protecting its rights.

Please do not submit passwords, authentication secrets, confidential security logs, special-category personal data or incident evidence through this public form.

Recipients and service providers

Personal data are accessible only to authorised NERANIS personnel and to technical providers where necessary to operate the website, email or infrastructure, as well as advisers or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

The website is hosted on Akamai Connected Cloud (formerly Linode) infrastructure in Tokyo, Japan. NERANIS may also use providers involved in email delivery and technical support. NERANIS does not sell personal data collected through this website.

International transfers

The website infrastructure is located in Japan. The European Commission recognises Japan as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data under the GDPR framework. Where a service provider or support operation involves another country, NERANIS relies on an applicable transfer mechanism made available for that processing, such as an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or contractual safeguards.

Retention

• Contact enquiries: retained for the time needed to handle the request. Where an exchange becomes a prospect relationship, relevant contact data may be retained for up to three years from the last contact initiated by the prospect, unless a longer period is required for a contract, legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
• Anti-abuse counters: 15 minutes.
• Technical and security logs: retained under technical rotation and only for as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security. Relevant extracts may be retained longer where required to investigate an incident or protect legal rights.

Cookies and similar technologies

At publication of this notice, neranis.com does not intentionally deploy advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels or third-party audience-measurement trackers. Technical cookies may be used for WordPress administrator authentication and security. When multilingual functionality is enabled, a language-preference mechanism may be used to remember a visitor’s requested language.

These technical mechanisms are limited to operation, security or an interface preference requested by the user. If NERANIS later introduces analytics, advertising or another non-essential tracker, this notice and the consent mechanism will be updated before that use.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

Send requests to support@neranis.com. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity where necessary. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL. Where the Japanese APPI applies to a processing activity, requests may be submitted through the same contact point.

Automated decisions

The website contact process does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated when the website’s processing, providers or tracking technologies materially change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
